We promote the publication of articles and books related to grief, in order to foster knowledge about it and raise awareness in society about the reality of this process
Aimed at professionals working in the healthcare field (doctors, nurses, psychologists, healthcare assistants), this guide -available both in Spanish and English- offers comprehensive information on how to face grief and improve assistance towards bereaved people, as well as providing tools to manage situations of great emotional intensity. Written by the expert grief psychologist, Sara Losantos, it includes illustrations by Malagón.
The “Let’s talk about grief“ guide by author Patricia Díaz, FMLC’s child & teenager psychologist and psychotherapist, has been illustrated by Malagón. The guide seeks to aid adults to talk about death and grief with children, with a special focus centred on the peculiarities surrounding this process in children and offering specific advice for each age group and guidelines for schools. Additionally, it incorporates a chapter approaching grief amongst people with intellectual disabilities.
In 2010 we promoted the publication of a book written by one of our patients, Pedro Alcalá, who two years earlier had lost his son in tragic circumstances. It is a valuable testimony of the human being’s ability to overcome a dramatic event and learn to love life once again. The author has assigned all copyrights to FMLC, which is also available in Spanish.
